Mcpat Hpca2015
What is Mcpat Hpca2015
mcpat_hpca2015 is a repository that contains CPU XML models and source code changes for the MR2 model, as well as the stock version of McPAT v1.2. It is designed for architectural studies and performance simulations.
Use cases
Use cases include academic research on CPU architecture, performance analysis of computing systems, and validation of architectural designs through simulation.
How to use
To use mcpat_hpca2015, users need to provide activity factors and benchmark performance statistics through a suitable performance simulator. The CPU models are located in the models directory, and additional scripts for running the repository can be found in the scripts directory.
Key features
Key features include XML models for CPUs, source code modifications for the MR2 model, and the inclusion of stock McPAT v1.2. It allows users to quantify sources of error in architectural studies.
Where to use
mcpat_hpca2015 can be used in fields such as computer architecture research, performance evaluation, and simulation of CPU models in high-performance computing environments.

Content
This repository contains:
- CPU XML models, located at models/MR*.xml
- Code for the MR2 model source code changes, located in mr2/
- Stock McPAT v1.2, located in v1.2/
Note: The CPU models do not contain any activity factors or benchmark
performance statistics. Those numbers must be provided by the user with a
suitable performance simulator.
